Are You Doing What Works...or Just Doing?

When it comes to your health...

If you were deciding on doing nothing or doing the wrong thing, what's best?

Sometimes people don't do anything because they're not sure WHAT to do and are afraid of doing the wrong thing.

Let's assume that the wrong thing isn't in total opposition to health... as in eating only Twinkies, avoiding water entirely or sleeping 60 minutes a day...

Taking some form of action will always outperform doing nothing at all.

Sometimes getting healthier is simply about creating momentum and tweaking your actions along the way.

Maybe you begin with walking for 10 minutes, 3 days a week. That's a much easier starting point than strength training 5 days a week for 90 minutes.

In the long run, there's a greater chance of success if you start eating protein with each meal vs. jumping head first into the "keto" diet (and that's not to suggest the keto diet is a gold standard either... stay tuned on that topic).

ACTION STEP:

Today, pick one thing that's better than what you're currently doing and start doing it more.

For example, if you routinely skip breakfast, have an apple each morning. Or if you have Coke and a doughnut for breakfast, have your Coke, your doughnut and an apple. Seriously.

If you’ve never stretched a day in our life, hug your knees for 30 seconds before you get out of bed.

It CAN be that simple.

You CAN do it :)
